TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: January 15, 2025
Introduction
Welcome to The Detroit Business Boutique (“The Detroit Business Boutique,” “The Business Boutique,” “The Biz Boutique,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our websites, physical spaces, services, products, and offerings, including digital content, business development support, venue rentals, and marketing services. By using any of our services, you agree to be legally bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our services or accessing our platforms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms and Conditions and any related policies referenced herein, including our Privacy Policy.
2. Services Provided
The Detroit Business Boutique offers both online and in-person services, including but not limited to:
Business address and virtual mailbox services, content creation and branding services, event and coworking space rentals, business consultations and strategy sessions, and website, digital, or email setup services.
Services may vary by location, package, or offering and are subject to change at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By using our services, you affirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Account and Booking Information
Some services may require registration or booking via our website or scheduling platform. You agree to provide accurate and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activity associated with your account.
5. Payments and Fees
All pricing is clearly stated on our website or within individual agreements. Services must be paid in advance unless otherwise noted in writing. We reserve the right to cancel or withhold service for non-payment.
Recurring services, such as virtual mailbox and email hosting, are billed on a monthly basis and auto-renew unless canceled in accordance with our cancellation policy.
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of our services—many of which are digital, customized, or time-reserved—all sales are generally final. For recurring services, you may cancel at any time, but no refunds will be issued for unused time in the billing cycle.
Event or venue bookings must be canceled at least 72 hours in advance to be eligible for partial credit toward a future booking. No-shows and last-minute cancellations are non-refundable.
7. Space and Conduct Policy
If you are renting or using our physical space, you agree to respect the space, other guests, and staff. Disruptive behavior, property damage, or rule violations may result in immediate removal and loss of future privileges without refund. Alcohol or illegal substances are prohibited unless previously approved in writing.
8. Intellectual Property
All branded content, visuals, written materials, strategies, and training offered by The Detroit Business Boutique are the intellectual property of the company. Clients may not copy, resell, or distribute our materials or digital content without explicit written permission.
9. Use of Services
You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws or regulations. You further agree not to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services or platforms.
10. Third-Party Services
We may offer or integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, email providers, and scheduling tools. We are not responsible for the terms, functionality, or performance of third-party platforms, and their use is governed by their respective policies.
11. Data and Privacy
We collect only the necessary personal information to provide services. All information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or misuse your data, and we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
All services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the services' reliability, availability, or suitability for your specific needs.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Detroit Business Boutique will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business, data, or profits, resulting from the use of our services. Our liability, if any, will be limited to the amount paid for the service in question.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your access to services, platforms, or space usage at any time for breach of these terms, illegal conduct, or misuse of our services. Outstanding balances remain due upon termination.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Wayne County, Michigan.
16. Amendments
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes implies your agreement to the updated terms.
